Professional Solar Panel Installation Across the UK
Solar panels are one of the most effective investments a UK homeowner can make today. With electricity prices continuing to rise year on year, generating your own power is no longer simply an environmental choice — it is a financially sound one.
At EZECO, we design and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for homes and businesses across the United Kingdom. Every system we install is individually designed around your property — your roof, your energy consumption, and your goals — and every installation is carried out by our own MCS-certified engineers, to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
We use only the most efficient components available on the residential market, including monocrystalline silicon panels, industry-leading inverters with built-in remote monitoring, and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery storage systems. Once your system is live, we monitor its performance around the clock for 25 years — and everything is covered under our all-inclusive service plan, at no additional cost.
From your first consultation through to the day your system is installed and beyond, our team is with you at every stage. There are no sub-contractors, no hidden charges, and no small print. Just a professionally installed solar system, properly supported for the lifetime of your home.
How Solar Panels Work
Solar panels are composed of multiple layers of monocrystalline silicon, engineered to create a powerful electric field across the panel surface. When photons from sunlight make contact with these silicon layers, they dislodge electrons and generate Direct Current (DC) electricity. This process — known as the photovoltaic effect — occurs continuously during daylight hours, whether the sky is clear or overcast. Solar panels generate electricity from light, not heat, which is why they continue to produce power on cloudy UK days.
The DC electricity generated by your panels cannot be used directly in your home. It passes through a solar inverter, which converts it into Alternating Current (AC) — the standard form of electricity used by every domestic appliance and device in the United Kingdom. From there, it feeds directly into your home’s Consumer Unit and powers your property in exactly the same way as electricity from the grid — only at a fraction of the cost.
Any electricity your system generates that your home does not use at that moment is automatically exported to the National Grid. Under the Smart Export Guarantee, your energy supplier is legally required to pay you for every unit you export — turning your roof into a continuous source of income alongside your bill savings.
Industry-Leading Components, Professionally Installed and Fully Covered
A solar installation is only as good as the components it is built from. At EZECO, we specify the most reliable and highest-performing products available on the residential market — and every single component is covered under our 25-year all-inclusive service plan from the day your installation is complete.
Monocrystalline Solar Panels
We exclusively use monocrystalline silicon panels — the highest-efficiency cell technology currently available. They deliver superior output in lower light conditions, making them the optimum choice for the UK's variable climate and ensuring maximum generation on overcast days.
SolaX Inverter with Remote Monitoring
Our preferred inverter converts DC solar electricity into usable AC power and comes equipped with a built-in monitoring system accessible via smartphone app. Both you and our technical team can view your system's real-time performance data, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
LFP Battery Storage
Our battery systems use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry — chosen for its high energy density, long cycle life of 3,000 to 6,000-plus charge cycles, and superior thermal stability. LFP batteries are widely regarded as the safest and most durable chemistry available for residential storage.
PV-Rated Cabling
We use only UV-resistant, double-insulated PV-rated cables throughout every installation. These cables are rated for continuous outdoor exposure and are designed to last the full lifespan of the system without degradation or insulation failure.
DC & AC Safety Isolators
Both DC and AC isolation switches are fitted as standard on every installation. These allow the solar array and inverter to be safely and independently isolated from your Consumer Unit — essential for safe maintenance access and emergency situations
Roof Mounting System
Aluminium frames and mounting rails are selected and specified for your specific roof type — whether pitched tile, flat, or commercial. Every mounting system is engineered to withstand the UK's wind loading and weather conditions across the full service term.
How Solar Panels Benefit You
UK electricity prices have risen at an average of approximately 7.5% per year. That rate is projected to continue — and its cumulative effect on household energy expenditure over a decade or more is substantial. Solar gives you a direct and permanent means of reducing your exposure to that inflation
Lower Energy Bills From Day One
From the moment your system is live, you are using electricity you have generated yourself rather than drawing it from the grid. Every unit you self-consume is a unit you do not pay your energy supplier for — and the saving is immediate.
Income from the Smart Export Guarantee
Any surplus electricity your system generates is automatically exported to the National Grid. All licensed electricity suppliers with 150,000 or more customers are legally required under the Smart Export Guarantee to pay you for every unit — making your roof a genuine source of passive income.
0% VAT Until March 2027
The UK Government has removed VAT entirely from all residential solar panel and battery storage purchases until March 2027. On a typical system, that represents a saving of £300 to £500 at point of purchase — a financial window that is available now and should not be overlooked.
Increased Property Value
A solar installation with a valid MCS certificate adds measurable value to a property. As energy efficiency becomes an increasingly important factor in UK property transactions, a well-specified, professionally installed solar system is an asset that prospective buyers and mortgage lenders recognise.
Energy Independence
Generating your own electricity reduces your dependence on the grid and insulates you from future price rises. Combined with battery storage, your home can store surplus daytime generation and use it during evening hours — reducing grid reliance further still.
Reduced Carbon Footprint
A typical residential solar installation offsets between 1.3 and 1.6 tonnes of CO2 per year. Over a 25-year system lifespan, that represents a contribution to carbon reduction that is both meaningful and measurable — without any change to how your household uses electricity.
